Failure

We are very good at celebrating our successes and relatively bad at celebrating our failures and losses.

Our world is consumed by winning and exhausted by the thought of losing.

We love receiving awards, medals and accolades for our jobs well done and sad when times are bad.

The times when we have failed.

Times when we have lost.

We may have lost a loved one, a competition or a job promotion. We mourn what could have been.

The constant struggle of winning and losing. Good and bad.

Yet where does the most profound learning come from?

The basketball player, Michael Jordan said, "I've missed more than 9000 shots in my career. I've lost almost 300 games. 26 times, I've been trusted to take the game-winning shot and missed. I've failed over and over and over again in my life. And that is why I succeed."

Can we learn more from our failures than our losses?

Nature is complex yet so simple.

Light and dark. High and low. Positive and negative. The duality of life.

We are both black and white and everything in between.

"My life has been nothing but a failure."
